The University of Toledo chose Knoll and American Interiors to furnish a Campus within a Campus. The project was a collaboration between UT and Schoolcraft College. UT wanted the space to reflect their brand as well as showcase classrooms of the future and common spaces that were modern with clean lines. In addition to classrooms, the mini campus has staff offices, lounge areas, a cafe, a computer area and a staff break room. Many of these spaces are in an open area and intended for multiple uses to make the most of the space.
DIRTT provided a full pre-fab solution for the University including full height glass storefront, frameless glass doors, imbedded monitors inside DIRTT walls, and modular plug and play power. DIRTT`s lean construction methods were able to keep the project schedule on track. UT was able to easily attain their goal to attract and retain students in a dynamic, cutting-edge learning environment.
