CHEERS TO 30 YEARS

In 1993, the Dallas Cowboys were defeating the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVII, Jurassic Park was making its cinematic debut in movie theatres, and Beanie Babies were being introduced at the World Toy Fair in New York City. For Steve Essig, 1993 meant much more than fast fads and 90s trends. Working out of his condo’s laundry room in Novi, Michigan, he could only hope at the time that his business idea would turn into a legacy.

In 2023, American Interiors celebrated 30 years in business, officially surpassing 262,800 hours of hard work spent perfecting our craft and positioning ourselves as industry thought leaders. To thank those who played an important part in our history, we hosted five parties across five markets over eight months.

We kicked off a year of jubilee in Tampa, Florida where our milestone anniversary happened to coincide with the grand opening of our new, state-of-the-art showroom overlooking the bay. Each party came with its unique flair—Tampa paired live saxophone melodies with flowing champagne before welcoming Mayor Jane Castor for a ribbon cutting; Cleveland served up local flavors to a guest list that included MillerKnoll VP of Distribution Channels and Dealer Development, R.J. Stelter; Toledo shared laughs over personalized caricature drawings; Detroit got groovy with acoustic tunes from MillerKnoll’s very own, “Jibs Brown” aka Jereme Brown, Client Development Executive; and Orlando wrapped up a year of festivities with a 360° photo booth and a visit from Falkbuilt CEO, Mogens Smed.

At American Interiors, our roots are strong, but our resilience is stronger. While we enjoy celebrating milestones, we can’t help but plan for the next.

Thank you just isn’t enough.
