Introducing Boots’s Special Operations Training Experience—a first of its kind charity event in Naples, Florida benefitting Folds of Honor.
As a Folds of Honor chapter, our main goal has always been to introduce a mission that is near and dear to our hearts to a wider audience. This May, we drafted 40 recruits to join a bad ass team of Special Operations personnel at Immokalee Range & Gun Club. Our squadron enjoyed a full day of training alongside Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Air Force Combat Controllers, and Law Enforcement on the edge of the Everglades. The fast-paced course focused on safety and basic tactical procedures on four live fire stations with weapon systems and procedures currently used by U.S. Special Forces. Troops also experienced two man v man “simunition” stations where they were fully immersed in mock scenarios, facing opposing forces. Using paint/marking rounds, cadets put their skills to the ultimate test.
Thank you to Mike “Boots” Barker, Coach Urban Meyer, Sean Morgan, George McNeil, Larry Robinson, Michael Solimene and his entire team at Immokalee, and our Special Forces team leaders for putting blood, sweat, and tears toward the success of this deployment.
As patriots, it is up to us to support the families of those that have fallen or been wounded while preserving our country’s freedom. May we continue to step in the right direction and honor their sacrifice by educating their legacy.
