Ann Arbor Says “Guten Tag” To Wacker Chemical Corporation
Wacker Chemical Corporation, the North and Central American subsidiary of German-based WACKER, was welcomed by the Ann Arbor neighborhood in April of 2022. Campaigning for growth in its U.S. market position, Wacker Chemical relied on American Interiors to move and expand their previous North American Headquarters from Adrian, Michigan to Ann Arbor in hopes to further network with and recruit talent from the highly educated talent base at nearby University of Michigan.
On Wacker’s newly innovated, 165,000-square-foot campus, 70% of space dedicates itself to business with the remaining 30% to research and development. Within the expanse, American Interiors provided MillerKnoll furniture for 274 workstations, 28 private offices, multiple conference rooms, labs, cafeteria, and training areas including all outdoor furniture, plants, planters, and office accessories.
Further, our team introduced Falkbuilt capabilities into Wacker’s collaboration spaces. The unique concept of “stepped” collaboration was able to divide an otherwise vast and limited room into a space accommodating to various forms of community, meeting, and conversation.
